Social Cause -Garbage cleaning

Around 20 students of BNMIT participated in cleaning the garbage in the KR Road near to Tata motors showroom .The main aim of this activity is to make the people aware of keeping the environment clean .This is one of the innovative ways of keeping our own environment clean. This activity was conducted on 21stfeb 2016 between 7:30am to 12:00 noon

Idea Labs&Entrepreneurial Innovative exercises
To enhance the creativity among young MBA Grads the activity Bridge Building was kept. They were asked to use only old newspapers to build the bridge and also asked to make in such a way that it needs to hold more than 10 kgs.

This workshop was conducted for the Ecell and MBA students in association with VTPC, Bangalore on 23/2/16.

Innovative idea poster presentation:

The Innovative idea poster presentation competition was held on 24thfeb 2016.Around 15 batches has participated in the competition out of which three innovative ideas was selected for the finals. First prize winner- Rakshitha of IV sem ECE

Documentary Movie Contest:

The BNMIT students actively participated in the Documentary Film making competition held in our campus on February 25, 2016. The participating teams had to capture 3 minutes video about any innovative entrepreneur.. Best 2 teams were awarded. The first prize to Rohan & team (CSE) and the second prize was given to Anushree(CSE).

Talk on Startup Company:
On February 27, 2016 our campus company CEOs Mr. Vasudev and Mr. Prajwal addressed the BNM school students of 9th standard about their innovative projects, their own start ups within the campus and also created awareness about entrepreneurship.

INNOVATIVE PROJECT LAB COMPETITION -2015 BNMIT Entrepreneurship Cell conducts Innovative Project Lab Competition twice in a year for BNMIT students in order to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship. The Heads of  all  the Engineering departments  were asked to select the best projects from their respective Streams forexhibition in the IPL Summer  Competition which was conducted on 19 th of May,2015. IPL Summer Competition 2016

BNMIT Entrepreneurship Cell conducts Innovative Project Lab Competition twice in a year for BNMIT students in order to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and to create innovative technical thinking among the students. The best projects from different engineering streams were selected for the final IPL summer competition held on April 22, 2016 at BNMIT. The Chief Guest and Judges for the Exhibition were Mr. D P K. Muthukumaraswamy, Innovation Leadership Consultant, Innomantra Consulting Pvt Ltd, Bangalore &                    Dr.S. Ramamurthy, Professor-IPR, Jain University, Bangalore. 22 Best Project Teams from various Engineering Streams of BNMIT were selected by their respective Departments to compete in the event. The Evaluation Criteria was based on Possibility of conversion of project in to product, high innovative ideas, Feasibility and Use to the society. The Project Champion award of Rupees.10000/- was awarded to Achyuth G R, Ashrith Pradeep from Computer Science

Workshop on Innovation Management & Intellectual Property Rights Spectrum: Significance for Academia, Venue: BNMIT, Bangalore, Date: 7th November, 2015

Opening Remarks about the programme was done by Dr. L. Vijayashree followed by              Smt. Prabhavathi Rao, Program Coordinator, WTO & IPR Relay Cell, Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre Dept of Industries & Commerce, Govt of Karnataka. Session 1 was about Flavor to Innovation Management & Unleashing Creativity handled by          V Raghuram, Senior Advisor – IP & Technology Commercialization. Session 2 was about Overview of Intellectual Property Rights Spectrum: Significance for Academia in Business and Research handled by Dr.S Rama Murthy Head – IPR, Centre for Emerging Technologies, Jain University, Bangalore.
