Entrepreneurship Week at BNMIT

BNMIT, one of the top 5 engineering colleges in Karnataka, encourages entrepreneurship among students. E-Cell BNMIT conducts lot of entrepreneurial events to motivate the student community towards entrepreneurship. This semester E-Cell conducted  E-Week wherein eminent personalities like Ms. Rashmi Bansal ( India’s No.1 Entrepreneurship Author ,Stay Hungry Stay Foolish), Ms. Nandini Vaidhyanathan (Founder and Mentor-CARma & Former CEO -UTV),Mr. Muki Regunathan (Founder Pepper Square) were been invited to have E-Talks with students.
On 21st September, 2015, Mr. Muki Regunathan (Founder Pepper Square), a man who has tasted success after failing 7 times, who considers in self as a template of failures came to BNMIT to enthrall the audience of about 1000 students and faculty members.

He also explained that “Success is different to different Person”, as everyone has their own perception regarding success. “Do larger than life”, is the inspiring statement by the CEO at Pepper Square. After successfully influencing over 250 companies from brand building to exit strategy, he said “Listening to your gut feeling and intuition” is what that takes a person towards attaining success in life. The most important concepts, today’s young minds must act upon are time management and failure management. Achieving success indulges prioritizing time, efforts towards the goals which are to be attained. Ms. Raveena , MBA student said Mr. Muki Regunatha truly inspired the youngsters gathered for the talk, who can be the next entrepreneurs of the country.

Workshop on Innovation Management & Intellectual Property Rights Spectrum: Significance for Academia, Venue: BNMIT, Bangalore, Date: 7th November, 2015

Opening Remarks about the programme was done by Dr. L. Vijayashree followed by              Smt. Prabhavathi Rao, Program Coordinator, WTO & IPR Relay Cell, Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre Dept of Industries & Commerce, Govt of Karnataka. Session 1 was about Flavor to Innovation Management & Unleashing Creativity handled by          V Raghuram, Senior Advisor – IP & Technology Commercialization. Session 2 was about Overview of Intellectual Property Rights Spectrum: Significance for Academia in Business and Research handled by Dr.S Rama Murthy Head – IPR, Centre for Emerging Technologies, Jain University, Bangalore. IPL Summer Competition 2016

BNMIT Entrepreneurship Cell conducts Innovative Project Lab Competition twice in a year for BNMIT students in order to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and to create innovative technical thinking among the students. The best projects from different engineering streams were selected for the final IPL summer competition held on April 22, 2016 at BNMIT. The Chief Guest and Judges for the Exhibition were Mr. D P K. Muthukumaraswamy, Innovation Leadership Consultant, Innomantra Consulting Pvt Ltd, Bangalore &                    Dr.S. Ramamurthy, Professor-IPR, Jain University, Bangalore. 22 Best Project Teams from various Engineering Streams of BNMIT were selected by their respective Departments to compete in the event. The Evaluation Criteria was based on Possibility of conversion of project in to product, high innovative ideas, Feasibility and Use to the society. The Project Champion award of Rupees.10000/- was awarded to Achyuth G R, Ashrith Pradeep from Computer Science
