On 22nd September 2015, BNMIT witnessed another icon of youth Ms. Nandini Vaidyanathan, the founder and mentor at CARMa. "I breathe entrepreneurship" she says, and believes that entrepreneurship is a great domain through which our country can prosper. Addressing a gathering of around 800 students at BNMIT, she sowed the idea of becoming an entrepreneur and as well gave the way wherein one can pursue it through the help of a mentor who is well versed in the area. "You don't have to start a company, to be an entrepreneur", is what she says, as the youth thinks that starting a startup or having the goal of earning lots of money is entrepreneurship. "Bringing a change or touching one's life with an idea is the motive behind entrepreneurship", she said with the example of Steve Jobs who brought an immense change in the way the world works through the use of technology in gadgets is the way towards entrepreneurship. E-Cell BNMIT conducts lot of entrepreneurial events to motivate the student community towards entrepreneurship. The WTO & IPR Relay Cell, VTPC Karnataka  organised a One Day Training the Trainer Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights at BNMIT, Bangalore on 20th August 20 15. Dr.M N Bheemesh, Senior Advisor, ALMT Legal took Faculty Members through the entire spectrum of IPR and its significance for Academia in Business & Research. Brinda Varma, Patent Attorney, Bangalore provided insights on Prior Art Search and IP Management in Academia.

INNOVATIVE PROJECT LAB COMPETITION -2015 BNMIT Entrepreneurship Cell conducts Innovative Project Lab Competition twice in a year for BNMIT students in order to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship. The Heads of  all  the Engineering departments  were asked to select the best projects from their respective Streams forexhibition in the IPL Summer  Competition which was conducted on 19 th of May,2015. The Project Exhibition was graced by the presence of two eminent personalities. The Chief Guest for the Mela was Mr. C. S. Srikanth, Director-Technology AutoTEC Systems Pvt Ltd.
